But never mind my silly second-guessing. I'm excited to be doing this, and that's what counts, right? If no one follows but my ever loyal Mum, whatever, eh?
One thing I can and will do is introduce myself. Maria Blanca's the name, and half-Mexican's the game. Just kidding. I have some close friends who are from Mexico, and my sis-in-law (whom I absolutely adoOOOore) is also Mexican. Hence my connection to the Spanish-speaking world. FYI: I don't really know much Espanol.....muy poquito. =)
I write from atop my 5th floor studio apartment overlooking the city.....that's code for I live in a dorm. Good news, though: I'm graduating this spring!
Colors are so fascinating, aren't they?
Creamy dots covering a satin-y black blouse;
green crocus heads slipping unnoticed from winter's bond;
bursts of golden silver peeking from gray clouds;
warm orange-y and yellow lights dotting the buildings of downtown;
the swirling of rich brown and tan as coffee and creamer mix;
the purple canvas of a night sky, sprinkled with glorious stars...
What color is hope?
Hope is rainbow,
Spectrum full of a promise that will come true.
